CIP 2011

As part of developing VS NPCC cadets into youths that constantly serve the community & the nation, VS NPCC participated in an annual CIP event organised by YMCA, known as YMCA Flag Day.

During the Flag Day, VS NPCC cadets carried a tin with them, asking for donations from the public that goes towards YMCA. Despite the countless rejections by the passer-bys, our cadets still pressed on, knowing that there are people who would willingly donate.

Their determination paid off when they managed to fill up at least three quarters of the tin by the end of the CIP event.

I'm sure that despite the hardwork, the cadets attained a sense of achievement and fulfillment at the end of the day. VS NPCC will continue to participate in more CIP events to give back to the society as cadets.

Victoria School 135th Speech Day

This year, Victoria School celebrates its 135th Speech Day.

As part of tradition in Victoria School, a parade will be held to welcome the Guest-of-Honour. This year, VS NPCC is proud to be chosen as the Guard of Honour Contingent.

Being the GOH Contingent for the parade, the cadets had to chance to wear the No.1 Uniform, a truly unique experience for many of the cadets. Our cadets trained under the hot sun with countless combined rehearsals to ensure that they were prepared for the actual parade.

During the parade, their sweat paid off when our cadets managed to perform the drills with precision and executed them smartly.

Here are some photos taken during the parade:

We hope that all cadets that participated as part of the GOH contingent have learnt something valuable to them. Also, we would like to thank all cadets that were part of the GOH contingent for their dedication and hard work for without them, the parade would not have been a success.

Sec 1 Orientation Camp 2011

Every year, VSNPCC organises a Sec1 Orientation Camp to help allow the Sec 1 cadets integrate into the VS NPCC Family better.

During the camp, cadets learn to understand the basic discipline rules and the protocols that should be followed during every training. At the same times, games and activities are carried out to ensure that the Sec 1 cadets get to know one another and forge strong bonds between squad members.

Here are some photos taken during the camp:

We hope that the Sec1s had fun during the camp and got to know their fellow squadmates better throughout the simple 2D1N course.

We look forward to their involvement in future events and trainings in VSNPCC!

Sec1 Swearing In Ceremony 2011

This year, Victoria School NPCC is privileged to play host for the Swearing In of the newly inducted Secondary 1 Cadets in Area 11.

Despite this being a simple ceremony, it is an event of great significance as it marks the start of a Cadet's journey in NPCC. The event was led by VS NPCC's Station Inspector, Lee Jiang as he recited the NPCC Pledge and Swearing In Pledge to officiate the swearing in of the Sec 1 Cadets. The event was a great success and ended off with games & quizzes planned for the newly sworn in Cadets in Area 11.

Here are some photos we took during the event:

I am sure that all Sec1 cadets will find this a truly meaningful experience. We hope that they will enjoy their journey is NPCC!

NPCC Annual Parade 2011

The time of the year has come once again, where Victoria School NPCC Unit sends our cadets to participate in the NPCC Annual Parade (NPAP).

Our cadets have truly displayed the qualities of a VS NPCC Cadet, by ensuring that their drills are of high standards & precision and hence, securing a spot in the GOH Contingent after intricate selection by the Cadet Inspectors at NPCC HQ.

Also, this event marks the achievement of VS NPCC as we are awarded our 11th consecutive gold award. VS NPCC has broke barriers and attained the gold award, once again. The tough trainings and stringent rules enforced by seniors, coupled with the determination and dedication of the cadets to the Unit has indeed paid off :)

These are some photos taken during the parade:

With this, I hope that all VSNPCC Cadets will continue to strive and achieve, bringing Victoria School NPCC Unit to greater heights. We will definitely ensure that we maintain our standards and strive towards our 12th Gold!

Challenge Unlimited 2011

As part of our Victorian Tradition, VS NPCC Unit has once again held our annual games day, Challenge Unlimited during the March School Holidays.

The event was a huge success thanks to the hardwork & dedication from every VS NPCC Cadet. During the event, we managed to witness a strong sense of competitiveness among participants.

Here are some of the photos taken during the event:

Congratulations to the overall Girls Team Champion, CHIJ St Joseph Convent!

Winner of 1st Placing for Boys Category, Raffles Institution! Congratulations to all winners :)

Victoria School NPCC Unit would like to extend our appreciation to NPCC Units of participating schools for their unwavering support. Without them, the event would not have been such a success. I'm sure our cadets and the participants have learnt something new through this experience.

We hope to see everyone once again next year, during Challenge Unlimited 2012!
